My artwork is a series of paintings created using my hybrid pouring technique. It is a style that portrays my fascination with the vast cosmos, Earth’s mysterious waters, and our inner biological being. I have cultivated a unique process that is a cross between randomness of flow and intentional brushstrokes where no two pieces are alike. The outcome is always an individual piece that provokes consciousness of the beauty around us. In a world of movement and lost time, one is in need of a moment to breathe. I aim to create that moment through visions that ground the busy spectator, transporting her to a mindful state of existence.
What I find interesting about my pieces now is that they are a style that I have spent most of my adult artist life trying to achieve with the skills that I already knew. When I started exploring pouring art, I created my ‘Eureka’ piece called Rainfall. The moment I took a step back and really saw Rainfall, I recognized the similarity with my previous work and how my technique evolved. I knew then that this is what I have been trying to do the whole time.
“My artwork is meant to be experienced; each piece transports you and lets your experience an altered consciousness of how I see the world.”
